Smurfit Kappa's Benelux arm has won the award for best transport packaging solution at the NL Packaging Awards 2016 for its One2SRP solution.
The One2SRP is described as consisting of one piece of cardboard with an attractive facing perforated section along the front, which has been expertly incorporated in to the design.
It has been designed to be easy to stack, to promote the look and feel of the product, and to positively impact shopper choice at the shelf.
It also promises to offer maximum product protection in the supply chain with minimal handling time for replenishment.
The Packaging Awards jury said, "The configuration from flat shape to box is unique, and the optimal use of material from one sheet is optimised in line with the function.
"The packaging solution offers excellent support, opens easily, provides high-quality presentation features on the shelves and has excellent vertical strength."
