Did You Know...? Cuthbert the Caterpillar will soon be available across 145 Aldi stores nationwide. The discounter said it will stock the cake on Irish shelves from 20 May and it is planning to donate all profits to the Irish Cancer Society. Aldi Ireland said is standing with Aldi UK in raising money for charity. Cuthbert will be priced at €7.99.
Did You Know...? Delhaize Belgium and Plus One Rosé, developed by singer Mathieu Terryn, are joining forces to support the music sector. Currently, for every can of rosé sold, Plus One donates €0.25 to the LIVE2020 support fund for the music sector, reports esmmagazine.com. Delhaize has pledged to double the donation if 100,000 cans are sold by 1 August, which means a donation of €50,000 will be made by the retailer to help the music sector.
Did You Know...? Lidl Ireland is offering its customers the chance to win a 'five-star hotel experience' at one of its stores. With intercounty travel restrictions set to lift in the coming weeks, the retailer is calling on consumers to enter the competition, through a dedicated website called 'Night in Lidl'. According to Lidl, the five-star hotel experience will include barbecue dining, wine tasting, beauty treatments and a big cinema screen.
Did You Know...? Costcutter has announced it is aiming to foster a healthier future for Ireland’s athletes through its support for Triathlon Ireland’s youth programmes. Under a new agreement, Costcutter said it will become ‘Official Retail Partner to Triathlon Ireland’ and the official supporter of all of Triathlon Ireland’s youth and kids’ activities.
