Did You Know...? Bord Bia has announced its plans to host a virtual Bord Bia Bloom 2021 event, over the June bank holiday weekend. For the second year in a row, the public can take part in #BloomAtHome via a series of virtual initiatives and events providing gardening advice and inspiration, the group said. Tara McCarthy, CEO, Bord Bia said, “Bord Bia Bloom is our annual showcase for horticulture and gardening in Ireland, and while we cannot be physically together in the Phoenix Park, we are delighted to bring the joy of Bloom direct to people’s homes."
Did You Know...? Italian retail cooperative Gruppo VéGé is expanding its presence in Northeast Italy with the addition of Dado as a new member from January of next year. Operating since 1998, Dado operates 58 direct and affiliated Eurospesa and Ideashop outlets in the Triveneto region, as well as 90 affiliated Belmarket stores and a further 410 wholesale customers. Dado was previously associated with another regional retail cooperative, Consorzio C3. The retailer closed 2020 with a turnover of €110 million, up 24.9% year-on-year.
Did You Know...? Walsh Whiskey has released the 2021 vintage of The Irishman Vintage Cask, a rare cask strength Irish whiskey. This year’s vintage is limited to 3,000 bottles worldwide, with 750 bottles assigned to the United States and 2,250 bottles for the rest of the world. The 2021 vintage is the 13th release since 2008, when it became the first triple-distilled Cask Strength Irish whiskey released in over half a century.
Did You Know...? TRESemmé joins a number of Unilever products with its recent animal welfare approval by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). The brand achieved a 'not tested on animals' listing, making it the 24th beauty and personal care brand in Unilever’s portfolio to join PETA’s Beauty Without Bunnies list.
