Super Valu has announced that it will be the official food partner for WellFest this year.
WellFest is a health and wellness festival which will take place at Dublin’s Royal Hospital Kilmainham on May 12th and 13th, and it is expected that 4,500 people will show up to the event per day. This will be SuperValu’s second year as a partner.
The event will feature talks from top chefs and nutritionists from Ireland about healthy eating and cooking ideas that will provide and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Des O’Mahony, Marketing Director at SuperValu, welcomes a second opportunity to promote healthy food and lifestyles.
Health & Wellness
He said, “We are championing healthy food choices and want to inspire and educate, families and kids on how to get cooking healthy, nutritional and wholesome meals that are affordable, great quality and locally sourced where possible. We pride ourselves on our reputation for being Ireland’s foremost retailer with the largest Health & Wellness aisles in stores.”
Anthony Kelly, director and co-founder of WellFest, added, “This year’s festival is going to be bigger and better than ever before and we are delighted to have SuperValu back on board as sponsors of the WellFood area.
“This is always one of our most popular zones at the festival and we’ve been able to attract a star-studded line-up for May, featuring some of the most exciting food experts from Ireland and abroad. We are really looking forward to seeing what they rustle up over the weekend, and hearing their expert-tips on recipes and nutrition.”
WellFest launched a 30-day plan, #WellGood, back in March. The programme is a free campaign that features tips on nutrition, mindset, exercise and more. It began on April 3rd.
