Aurivio Announces Increased Base Price For Its July Milk Supply

Aurivo, the Sligo based dairy producer, has announced that it will increase its base milk price for July supplies, according to Agriland.ie.

It has increased its base price by 1c/l to 31.5 c/l, which it said is reflective of the steady milk market.

A spokesperson from the group said that the co-op is committed to paying its suppliers the maximum price possible, but this is subject to the market’s performance.

Aurivo recently announced a €48 million investment plan for the business for the next five years towards a new expansion programme which incorporates a range of projects across its dairy ingredients, consumer foods and agri-businesses and will grow employment across the co-op between now and the end of 2022.

Market Improvement

Earlier this week, Lakeland Dairies announced its increased milk price for July supplies, where it said that it will offer 32.78c/l, including VAT.

Lakeland said that the price is reflective of the difficult conditions that dairy farmers have worked through this year.

Kerry Group and Glanbia also announced increased prices for their July supplies. Kerry has increased its price and has also revealed plans to introduce a new payment scheme for its suppliers. Glanbia announced that it will pay its member milk suppliers 32c/l, including VAT.
