When 2015-vintage South African wines reach supermarkets in Europe, it is likely that many may be sold at prices higher than their equivalent vintages of the last few years.
This is due to an auspicious 2014 summer, which was warm, dry and windy, thedrinksbusiness.com reports.
These fortuitous conditions are conducive to earlier grape-budding, and thus a wine yield that surpasses the standard quality.
In 2016 and 2017, when 2015-vintage South African wine will appear in supermarkets, it is likely to be in strong demand and of top quality.
