Adam Smith, Director, Head of Media Strategy with dunnhumby UK is the eighth speaker to be added to the prestigious Checkout Conference in association with dunnhumby lineup, which will be celebrating its 40th anniversary in the Intercontinental Hotel in Ballsbridge in Dublin on 5 February.

Adam Smith, Head of Media Strategy with dunnhumby UK, will present some market leading research from dunnhumby, in conjunction with one of dunnhumby’s academic partners, that shows the value of understanding different customer groups and how a data-driven targeted media strategy can be applied to help brand managers and retailers to vastly increase marketing performance and ROI. 

Smith has been developing dunnhumby’s UK media proposition for over five years. Prior to dunnhumby, he gained 20 years of media communication strategy and planning experience at leading media agencies, including Mindshare, OMD and Digitas.

A specialist in FMCG, he has won industry awards, including IPA Effectiveness and Campaign’s Media Grand Prix.

In his current role, Smith is involved in the development of new customer-led media planning tools and approaches, combined with commercial responsibility for dunnhumby’s digital offsite media solutions and media partnerships, including Sky, Facebook and Twitter.

High-Powered Speakers

Checkout Conference will now feature eight high-powered speakers from across the retail spectrum, including the CEO of Tesco Ireland, Kari Daniels, and the former MD of British retail chain Waitrose and UK Minister of State Lord Mark Price.

The thought-provoking Leaders Panel will also showcase some of the most authoritative voices in the sector right now, featuring John McCambridge, head of sales (off-trade) from Heineken Ireland and Stephen Dillon, head of planning, Mondelez.
