Kellogg's Ireland Post Turnover Losses Of 11.3% For 2017

Company of Ireland recorded turnover losses of 11.3% (€7 million) last year, according to its recent financial report.

Operating profits were down by 5.7% year-on-year, for the 12 months to the end of December 2017.

The principal activity of the firm is was the marking and selling of ready to eat cereals and snack in the Republic of Ireland, the cereal and snacks giant, outlined in a statement.

Principle Risks and Uncertainties

The company outlined that keys risks facing the business in 2018 include 'exposure to currency affecting pricing and the current economic an competitive environment affecting turnover.'

Future Outlook 

The group said in the report that looking ahead, competition in the Irish fast consumer good environment remains challenging, however, the company 'remains committed to enhancing its customer and consumer relationships'.

Kellogg's most popular household brands include, Rice Krispies, Cornflakes and Coco Pops.
