Did You Know…? Sales of beard care products, such as beard oils, have risen by 226% in the last three years and are now worth almost £5 million (€5.68 million) to UK stores, big data and predictive analytics firm IRI has said.

Did You Know…? Kraft Heinz, the maker of Heinz Ketchup and other condiments, has been linked with a takeover bid for The Campbell Soup Company. The Soup maker’s management is reportedly set to commence a sales process following a comprehensive review of the business.

Did You Know…? The Association of Greek Soft Drink Industries has announced its commitment to reducing sugar in carbonated and non-carbonated soft drinks by 10% by 2020. It also aims to extend this to other popular drinks such as iced tea and ready-made coffee, sports and energy drinks.

Did You Know…? British retailer Waitrose has introduced private-label 'wine in a can' for the summer season. From 25 June, an organic rosé and shiraz will be available in recyclable 250ml cans, the equivalent to one large glass of wine.

Did You Know…? In the UK, Tesco will abandon its price-match scheme which gave shoppers instant reductions in branded goods and the till. Britain’s biggest retailer said that it will focus on lower regular prices.

Did You Know…? French economic growth slowed to 0.2% in the first quarter of this year from 0.7% in the previous three months, the country's national INSEE statistics agency said today, confirming its earlier estimate.
