Did you know?... Krispy Kreme in Blanchardstown, which opened last week, has already shut down its 24-hour drive-thru service, after it has seen steady queues of people, with customers beeping their horns as they wait in line. However, the company says "a small number of customers" are honking their horns late at night. It is to put up signs, asking people to be respectful of their surroundings. The chain stopped the service a few days after requesting customers to put a stop to the honking.

Did you know?... Bloom London Dry Gin has unveiled a new, limited edition, Bloom Lemon & Elderflower, following unprecedented demand from its fans online. Created by renowned Master Distiller, Joanne Moore, Bloom Lemon & Elderflower is a flavoured gin liqueur that is set to drive the continued growth of this dynamic segment of the gin category. At 25% ABV, and with a significantly lower sugar content than other gin liqueurs, Bloom Lemon & Elderflower has strong appeal to the many consumers who are buying into the category.

Did you know?... Subway has released a new snacks and sides menu for on-the-go customers. Subway Savers Menu is reported to be available at any time of the day and includes: New Hash Browns, Chorizo Flatbread Pizza, Taco Beef Mini Wrap and the come back of the Nachos, where it’s possible to add the spicy Taco Beef for a meaty treat. Each of the options will also be in different days of the week on Sub of the Day.

Did you know?... A study by UK packaging firm DS Smith has revealed that around a third of the packages shipped by leading retailers are at least double the size of the actual product. According to the study, titled The Empty Space Economy, shipping of empty space results in the emission of 122 million tonnes of CO2, which is equivalent to the annual CO2 emission of Belgium, Pakistan or Argentina.

Did you know?... Green Giant has released a new range of cauliflower-based pizza crusts, responding to the rising consumer demand for healthier meal choices. Two flavours of the new cauliflower crust range will be initially available: Tuscan and original, and both ready-to-bake flavours are made with over 80% cauliflower and contain approximately half the calories of traditional pizza crusts. Each pack of crusts includes four servings, and can be prepared from frozen in 20 minutes.

Did you know?... Coca-Cola GB has announced the launch of a brand-new limited-edition flavour, Coca-Cola zero sugar Cinnamon. Arriving just in time for the Christmas season, the new product will be available in 500ml and 1.25l bottles starting from this week (Oct 1). Marketing Manager Alec Mellor said, “For a limited time only, we are excited to announce the launch of Coca-Cola zero sugar Cinnamon, that we hope our current fans and those looking to try a new flavour will love. It’s a drink full of festive flavour and no sugar, perfect for the lead up to Christmas.”

Did you know?... Drinks maker Diageo, WPP and Standard Chartered have been named as the top performing UK companies for gender equality. However, the study admitted that despite progress being made, there was still a "long way to go" before equality was achieved in companies worldwide. General Motors in the US was the top performing brand worldwide. Diageo came 11th, while WPP grabbed 17th place. The study by Equileap looked at 3,000 companies worldwide and gave them a grade using criteria such as leadership, career development, work-life balance, pay and family leave.
