Musgrave Seeking To Raise €250k At Annual Triathlon

Musgrave has announced details of its annual triathlon, which takes place at Farran Woods, Farran, Co. Cork on Saturday 31 August. To date, the event, which is now in its 11th year, has raised €3.3 million in aid of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin and Breakthrough Cancer Research.

“Year after year I am pleased to announce that this Triathlon continues to go from strength to strength, attracting more participants and exceeding its fundraising targets each year," said Martin Kelleher, Managing Director, Musgrave.

"More and more Irish people are taking to athletics, particularly triathlons and it makes sense that we use this trend to help raise monies to fight one of the most widespread diseases in this country.”

The triathlon attracts over 500 participants every year, and involves an 800m swim, followed by a 33km cycle and a 10km run. Its target for 2013 is to raise €250,000 through this one day event.
