Ardagh Posts Revenue Increase Of 9% In Q1

Packaging giant Ardagh saw its revenue rise 9% to €1.207 billion in Q1, according to results just published by the company.

The group, which is headed up by Paul Coulson, saw its EBITDA rise to €204 million in the period, however, it posted an overall loss of €10 million for the period.

This is a better performance than the same period last year, when Ardagh posted a loss of €18 million.

Its Glass Packaging Europe business saw an increase in revenue to €337 million (up from €327 million), while its metal-packaging business also boosted its revenue, by €472 million, in the period.

“The group remains focused on the achievement of further progress in 2015 through organic improvement and the development initiatives already in place in its glass and metal operations,” Ardagh said in a statement.
