Applegreen Parent Bids To Acquire Five Service Stations

Petrogas Group, which trades as forecourt retailer Applegreen, has launched a bid to acquire five service stations in Ballinasloe, Foxford, Tulsk, Athleague and Westport.

Petrogas has moved to acquire Knockmitten Petroleum Limited, which is the holding company that controls the leases for each of these sites.

The proposed deal has entered the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission process, having advanced to Phase 1 stage last week.

Any parties that wish to make a submission about the proposed deal is required to do so before June 4th.

There are strong rumours that Petrogas is poised to announce its intention to float on the stock exchange in the coming days, as it looks to cement its growth strategy.
