Did You Know ... Lisburn-based jam producer Passion Preserved has launched a new Raspberry and Lemon Chilli Sauce? Claire Kelly, company founder, descibes it as being “sweet and hot, a deliciously different taste for enhancing meals”. Passion preserved has won a number of UK Great Taste Awards.

Did You Know ... Tesco UK have removed the Scottish Saltire from Scottish-grown fruit packaging? English customers complained that similar products grown in England and Wales only showed the Union Jack.

Did You Know ... a humourous typo was found in Supervalu’s in-store recipe leaflets? The mistake caused The Happy Pear’s Massaman Curry recipe to advise adding “a half thumb-sized piece of fresh finger” to the dish, instead of “ginger”. The retailer apologised on its Facebook page.

Did You Know ... Coca-Cola GB has appointed Aedamar Howlett as its new marketing director? Aedamar previously headed the company’s Ireland operation, and has worked for the company for 15 years. “Aedamar brings to the role a wealth of marketing experience, having held senior roles across many of our brands and has run the business in Ireland,” Jon Woods, general manager of Coca-Cola UK and Ireland, said.
