In addition to disinfecting their hands, customers can also disinfect purchases that they intend to consume immediately such as cold drinks.

Meat processor Cranswick Plc said on Monday it expected retail demand to normalise in the rest of the year as more people start dining out, after eating in during lockdowns helped its revenue surge 25% in the first quarter, reports Reuters. The company, which owns farms and supplies pork and chicken to British grocery retailers, also said outlook for the year ending March 2021 was seen exceeding expectations, while capex will be lower than last year.

Online retailer Ocado saw the biggest growth of any UK retailer in the 12 weeks to 11 August, seeing its sales grow by 45.5%, the latest Kantar data has shown, reports esmmagazine.com The sales boost has lifted Ocado's market share to 1.8%, the data showed. While all British retailers showed growth in the period, this was less pronounced than in previous 12-week periods due to the relaxation of lockdown measures.
