Tesco Aims To Raise €150,000 To Purchase New Beds For Temple Street

Tesco Ireland has said that it is aiming to raise €150,000, to purchase new beds for Temple Street Children's University Hospital this Christmas.

The retailer said that it will donate €1 from the sale of each fresh Turkey over the coming weeks. It will also donate finds raised through the sales of items from their festive range, such as Christmas sandwiches, Reindeer Food and selected bouquets to the children's charity.

Christine Heffernan, Corporate Affairs Director Tesco Ireland, said: "Our selection of festive favourite products are a popular and easy way for customers and colleagues alike to support the hospitals fundraising needs all while bringing families together for magical moments this Christmas.”

60 New Beds For Children's Hospital

Tesco outlined that funds raised this Christmas will go towards purchasing in the region of 60 new beds for the hospital, for the '148,000 patients who come through the doors each year'.
