Retail Excellence Ireland has launched a 'Trustmark' for Irish websites in an effort promote cross-border retail. The organization says that this move will give online customers overseas the confidence that they are buying from a legitimate website.

Grocery delivery app Buymie has been criticised for advertising Aldi products on its service that were not available in-store. The Advertising Authority of Ireland has upheld a complaint made by the retailer against Buymie - a service which collects groceries from any supermarket in Dublin and delivers them to customers.

Irish food exports could face tariffs of 35% unless a Brexit deal is made. If the upcoming EU-UK trade negotiations do not result in an agreement, the World Trade Organization's tariffs would immediately come into effect, including a 35% tariff on dairy products and 17% on meat.

The UK Labour party want to introduce a ban on junk food advertisements during TV programmes that are popular with children. The ban would be part of a £250 million per year scheme to halve the rates of childhood obesity in the UK within five years.

Aramark has won Best Client and Service Producer at the Facilities and Management 2017 awards. The facilities management organization won the award for its work with KBC Bank.
