Wincor Nixdorf Opens New Ireland Office

Retail technology provider Wincor Nixdorf has upped its level of investment in Ireland with the opening of a new office in Dublin, boosting its workforce to 110 employees.

The opening was attended by local customers and partners, and Banking Director for Wincor Nixdorf UK and Ireland, Ian Byrne. The new office was opened by Minister Pat Rabbitte T.D. Minister for Communications, Energy & Natural Resources.

“Wincor has been based in Dublin since the mid 70s but we have undergone proportionately substantial growth in the last 3 years, growing from 35 to 110 employees," said Ian Byrne, banking director for Wincor Nixdorf, UK and Ireland. "We have a great team and now a great new working environment for them. Our growth has necessitated moving to a much larger and higher quality office in City West Business Campus. We look forward to continued growth in Ireland."

Wincor has invested in the local youth by driving employment of a very young workforce, the majority local to Tallaght, Clondalkin and Rathcoole, many of whom have benefited from Wincor’s policy of promoting and developing skills internally. Wincor has moved from its previous location to much larger and higher quality offices in City West Business Campus.
