Value Centre Sligo debuted its new alcohol section during a recent customer event at the store, located on Finisklin Road.
Jacquie Conlon, Manager of Value Centre Sligo weighed in on the reason for the new alcohol section, stating; "We decided to launch a new alcohol section in response to exciting current trends in the sector.
"Craft beers are continuing to prove very popular and there is also a demand for more specialised spirits. Our new alcohol section now offers our licensed trade customers the best ever selection, helping them to stay on trend."
Shoppers had an evening full of craft beer tastings, canape sampling and a cocktail masterclass, with two customers winning a two-day cocktail course at the Dublin Bar Academy.
Local chef Joe Shannon also presented Asian dishes, made with authentic Asian products that are sold in Value Centres nationwide. Local businesses in the community were invited to attend as well and had the opportunity to avail of value offers on the night.
