17-Year-Old Irish Teenager Wins Cadbury Inventor Competition With Choca-Latte Bar

A 17-year old Irish teenager has won the Cadbury Inventor competition, which challenged people in the UK and Ireland to create the new Cadbury’s chocolate bar.

Callum Clogher, from Ballygar in Co Roscommon, beat over 200,000 competitors with his chocolate, vanilla and biscuit bar dubbed the ‘Choca-latte’.

The bar earned the most sales and online votes while on the shelves for a limited time.

Over The Moon

Speaking to the Irish Independent, Clogher said that he was “absolutely over the moon”.

“I was keeping an eye on the polls so I kind of suspected I was going to win but I wasn’t sure.

“I was on holidays in Vancouver in Canada a few weeks ago and on my second day, they rang me and told me.”

Clogher revealed that the plan is for his Choca-latte bar to go on sale next year, and the packaging will be made to show that it was the winning product from the campaign.

“If it does well, they might keep it longer,” he added.

Clogher credited the support from his friends, family, and from around the area for helping him succeed.

“Thanks to everyone for voting for me in the competition and I won off the back of Irish support,” he said.
