The ABP Food Group recently won the overall Own Label Supplier of the Year Award at the Grocer Gold Awards in London.
The Grocer Magazine announced the award winners on Tuesday, 11 June in London's Guildhall.
The group was chosen by a panel of CEO’s and commercial directors from the UK’s leading industry bodies, noting the breadth of category support, customer insights, service levels, and continuous product innovation as the points that stood out for ABP.
The Past Year
In the past year, ABP launched a microwavable fresh sausage and a range of DC superhero fresh and frozen sausages and burgers.
Additionally, the group released plant-based products for distribution in the UK to appeal to the changing demands of consumers, both meat reducers and non-meat eaters alike.
Tom Kirwan, managing director of ABP UK said the group is “absolutely thrilled” to receive such recognition from the industry.
“It is a real endorsement of a commitment to doing the right thing for the customer by all of our colleagues in ABP’s UK’s operations and across the wider ABP Group,” he said.
