Alan Quinlan Supports Mental Health With Aramark #TAKE15 Campaign

Alan Quinlan, former Irish international rugby player and Aramark's Mental Health Ambassador, is urging people to be mindful of their mental health with the #TAKE15 campaign.

Aramark will be using its #TAKE15 campaign as part of its Health and Wellness Week 2016, which will take place from 27 June to 1 July. The company will be encouraging people across Ireland, especially those in the workplace, to take time out and reach out to colleagues by having a #TAKE15 break.

Alan Quinlan commented, "It’s perfectly acceptable to open up about a physical illness in the workplace. However, it’s almost unheard of for people to talk about any mental health issues they have. People are afraid of being labelled or of being treated differently.

"This needs to change and it’s through initiatives such as #TAKE15 that we highlight the crucial role that the workplace has to play in supporting people to stay mentally healthy."

Region Managing Director of Aramark Northern Europe, Frank Gleeson, commented, "We as employers have a responsibility to look after our employees. Our job is to provide them with safe working environments, both physically and mentally."
