Lenihan will remain NewsBrands Ireland’s CEO while she is on the ASAI board. As one of the board’s 15 members, she will help manage the business of ASAI and the organisation’s code.
At NewsBrands Ireland, Lenihan sets the strategic direction of the organisation, manages industry co-operation and communicates the news industry’s values. She has also worked in public relations and marketing in the UK and South Africa.
Mulcahy will handle complaints from the public as a member of the Complaints Committee.
She has helped with consumer protection regulation issues for over 20 years and is responsible for a team of people who help resolve “escalated consumer queries” in Ireland and the EU.
