British American Tobacco has announced the appointment of Karen Guerra as an independent non-executive director, effective 14 September 2020.
She will also join the company’s nominations and remuneration committees.
Currently, Guerra serves as a non-executive director of Amcor p.l.c. and Electrocomponents p.l.c.
'An Experienced Professional'
She is an experienced professional, who previously held various executive roles in different organisations.
She served as the president and director general of Colgate Palmolive France, and chairman and managing director of Colgate Palmolive UK Limited.
Commenting on her appointment, BAT chairman, Richard Burrows, said, “Karen brings with her a range of valuable international experience, particularly in marketing and consumer goods, and I am looking forward to her contribution to the Board."
Guerra has also served as a non-executive director of Swedish Match AB, Davide Campari-Milano S.p.A., Paysafe p.l.c., Inchcape p.l.c. and Samlerhuset B.V.
