Head of Google Ireland, Ronan Harris shared some of his professional insights as guest of honour at The Sales Institute’s 20th Anniversary Lunch, which took place the InterContinental Hotel in Dublin earlier this week (December 1st).
Harris, who is also VP of Google’s EMEA operations, took park in an on-stage discussion with Chairman of The Sales Institute Conor Morris, during which he acknowledged former colleague Sheryl Sandberg as an inspiring leader.
He also said that with a 7% economic growth rate for 2015, and a similar performance predicted for next year, Ireland has a strong commercial outlook.
In terms of what he believes makes brands a success, he says one of the crucial keys is Data, and how a business can ‘source, capture, manage, interpret and deploy’ it.
He also told attendees, which included representatives from brands such as Diageo and Mondeléz, that achieving longevity in a career comes down to embracing change and responding to market needs.
