Heinz To Sell Dundalk Factory

Heinz is reported to be selling its frozen food ready meals manufacturing site in Dundalk, Ireland. The Authentic Food Company is planning on buying the factory, which employs 155 people.

The deal includes a three-year co-pack arrangement for The Authentic Food Company to continue to make Heinz for Weight Watchers, Ross and Heinz Big frozen meals, according to The Grocer. 

The companies' plan on further developing the Weight Watchers range and also review future opportunities for Heinz in frozen. The Heinz factory was opened in 1993.
