Ireland’s ‘Favourit’ Herbs And Spices Win Award

Herbs and spices brand Favourit has won Best International Product Launch at the Northern Ireland Food and Drinks Association (NIFDA) awards.

The Ireland-based producers of the label, GM Marketing, recently increased its Belfast operations.

This led to a doubling in production of the herbs and spices for Favourit.

The brand’s range consists of herbs and spices that are SALSA certified, and it only uses reputable BRC-approved suppliers.

‘Means So Much’

The Favourit team welcomed the award recognition.

Ella Freeman, brand manager at the company said, “The NIFDA awards highlights excellence in food and drink manufacturing so we were delighted to showcase Favourit’s innovation, excellence, and the quality of our products to a massive audience.

Freeman added that the recognition was an important step in the brand’s expansion in recent years.

She said, “In 2023, Favourit launched into retail after a two-year development project.

“Our ranges fit perfectly with the at-home cooking trends made popular during lockdown as people become more adventurous with herbs and spices.”

Having supplied products to the foodservice sector for years, the award recognition reflects well on the brand’s retail capabilities.

Freeman credited the dynamic foodservice industry with helping Favourit build credibility and trust with consumers

She said, “The future is looking great for our Belfast operation – we have doubled our capacity and are now producing thousands of bottles of Favourit every day for people to use in their homes and in food service outlets across Ireland.”

First established in 1915, Favourit has been importing spices to Belfast and supplying them for over 100 years.

Freeman also highlighted the importance of the award for the whole team, saying, “Taking home the Best International Product Launch means so much to the whole Favourit team – we are passionate about making a product that delivers on taste, quality and value, every time.”
