Irish Yogurts Wins ‘Sponsor For A Day’ Competition

Cork-based yogurt manufacturer, along with accounting firm Big Red Cloud, have won this year's Bank of Ireland 'Sponsor For A Day' competition after topping a public vote.

The competition gives companies the chance to see their logos on the jerseys of the Munster and Leinster rugby teams during a European Champions Cup game. Both games will be broadcast on Sky Sports, and the prize is valued at €50 000.

Irish Yogurts will sponsor the Munster team for their game against Sale Sharks in Thomond Park on 25 January. Big Red Cloud will sponsor the Leinster team during their match against Castres in the RDS.

Irish Yogurts has been operating in Clonakilty, West Cork since 1994 and employs over 160 people. They are currently building a new factory that will boost their manufacturing ability.

"It will be a huge honour for us all in Irish Yogurts to see our company logo on the Munster jersey and around the stadium at Thomond Park. We have been steadily growing our brand since we started the company both in Ireland and across Europe and winning this competition will enable us to showcase our brand to a wide international audience," commented the company's founder Diarmuid O'Sullivan said.
