Co.Kildare Start Up Launches New ‘Super Drink’

Co. Kildare based start up has launched a new 'super drink' - the Naked Collective’s Mude.

The new drink with its specially trademarked 'Superliquid' and 'ImmunoBoost' will reach Irish retail shelves in July.

In a statement, the drinks company said that 'Mude contains the powerful little known immune enhancer beta glucan as well as the humble Irish oats making it a tasty health plant based low sugar and calorie beverage'.

Co-founder Catherina Butler, a former CFO of Primeline Logistics, United Drug and Lifestyle Sports said that she had always wanted to set up her own business and saw a gap in the market for a ‘super drink’ product fortified by immunity boosting ingredients.

“I felt that there wasn’t a healthy drink alternative that spoke to what is now a more educated and informed consumer who make more thoughtful decisions about what they spend their disposable income on," Butler said.

"Millennials care about being informed and see products and brands as extensions of themselves especially when it comes to their thinking and beliefs on how humans affect the planet environmentally," she added.

'Immunity Boosting'

Butler said that the The Naked Collective was born out of what she saw 'as a necessity'.

"Our new products not only tap into this mindset but deliver on undeniable taste, experience and innovation in what will be a hyper sensitive health market post COVID-19 lockdowns," Butler said.

"Wellness is now a status symbol, with consumers turning to the parts of their lives they can control, such as their health," she added.
