Mondelēz Appoints Vince Gruber As Executive VP, President Europe
Mondelēz International has announced that Vince Gruber has taken over the role of Executive Vice President & President Europe for the company.
The Italian began the role in January this year.
Gruber has extensive experience in the FMCG sector, which the company hopes he will use to drive its “Snacking Made Right” strategy in Europe.
The strategy aims to empower people to snack right by offering the right snack, made the right way, for the right moment.
The Future Of Snacking
“With ‘Snacking Made Right’, we have a strong strategic plan that will guide our actions in the years ahead and lead us towards sustained and profitable growth,” Gruber said.
“I feel honoured to lead such an excellent European team and look forward to creating the future of snacking.”
Europe is the most important contributor to the growth of Mondelēz, accounting for more than one-third of the revenue of the group, with $ 10 billion net revenue in 2018.
Gruber has held a variety of roles in the FMCG industry, starting out at Kraft Foods Austria (now Mondelēz International).
There, he held various positions in Marketing until 2000.
He returned in 2007 after a spell outside the company, joining as director chocolate for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, a role he held until 2010, when he was appointed president chocolate for Europe.
In 2016, Gruber took up the position of area president for Western Europe.
