Ornua Global Foods Appoints New Managing Director

Ornua, the owner of the Kerrygold brand, has announced the appointment of Cesar França as managing director of the Global Foods division this week.

França will take up the new role at the Irish dairy co-operative in September 2024 and will be based in the company’s global headquarters in Dublin.

In his new role at the company, França will be responsible for driving the brand’s continued success and ambitious growth plans and securing its position as a leading global food brand.

With over 25 years of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, working across dairy, cereals, confectionary and more, França knows how to lead and grow household brands.

His brand experience portfolio includes Gerber, Milkmaid, NIDO, Maggi, Beba, Lactogen, Laboratories Guigoz and more.


França has a notable track record I leading businesses across multiple regions, accelerating market expansion growth, building global brands with a strong focus on innovation, and developing high-performing teams.

Originally from Brazil, França holds a business degree and MBA from the IMD Business School in Switzerland.

Announcing the appointment, the chief executive of Ornua Conor Galvin said, “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Cesar França as the new managing director of Global Foods.

“Cesar brings extensive global FMCG experience to Ornua.

“He has worked with some of the world’s most well-known household brands and has spent much of his career as a senior executive working across multiple markets, leading successful businesses, and building global brands.


“His appointment reflects the ambition we have for the Kerrygold brand and the critical role it will continue to play in creating value for the Irish dairy industry into the future.”

França will be taking over from Róisín Hennerty, following her retirement.
