Low-fat snack brand popchips has launched its new Irish-inspired Mature Cheddar & Onion flavour, which is says is set to ‘thrill taste buds with its rich, tantalizing flavour’.
Launched to meet a demand in the snacking category for lower-calorie, lower-fat options, popchips aren’t fried of baked, but instead made using a mixture of heat and pressure to ‘pop’ potato into a crispy snack.
Commenting on the launch, Will Bowler, popchips general manager said, “Product and flavour innovation is at the heart of everything we do.”
“We’re delighted to add Mature Cheddar & Onion to our ever-growing popchips range and look forward to launching more Irish-inspired flavours in the future,” he added.
Alongside the new flavour, popchips is undergoing a packaging redesign to make its ‘better for you’ messaging clearer to consumers, including adding a ‘calorie flash’ on single serve bags.
Each single serve bag (23g) contains 95 calories, with a RRP of €1, while share bags (85g) have a RRP of €2.69.
