PRL Confirms Sponsorship Of Pieta 100 Charity Cycle 2018

PRL has announced its sponsorship of the Pieta 100 Charity Cycle 2018, taking place this year on 9 September, on the eve of World Suicide Prevention Day.

Now in its fourth year, the cycle starts and finishes at Leixlip Amenities, taking in three counties along its 100km route.

The event has raised over €250,000 for Pieta House since its inception in 2015 and PRL is hoping to make this year’s cycle the "most successful yet".

Having appointed Pieta House PRL’s 2018 charity partner, this sponsorship cements the company’s commitment to the charity’s work in fighting against suicide and self-harm.

“We are thrilled and honoured to support the amazing work done by Pieta House by sponsoring this exciting event," Jack O’Riordan, CEO, PRL said.

There are few people in this country who have not been touched by suicide or self-harm in some way and everyone at PRL is immensely proud to be involved with Pieta House and to support the Pieta 100 Cycle.”

Changes For The Better

Marie Peelo, deputy director of Fundraising & Advocacy, Pieta House added: “To have PRL as this year’s Pieta 100 Cycle sponsor means a great deal to Pieta House. Since its inception, this event has allowed us to help over 250 people by providing them with free one-to-one therapeutic counselling. That is the lives of 250 people, their family and friends and colleagues, changed for the better.

"Without the support of PRL this event could not happen and in turn we could not help those of us in our communities who need our support. We are proud and privileged to have the support of such a fantastic organisation and we look forward to another very successful Pieta 100 Cycle in 2018"
