Propercorn just launched the latest addition to it’s gluten-free popcorn range ‘Twisted Honeycomb’.
The unique flavour is the brainchild of 21 year old, UCD graduate, Ashling O’Carroll from Dublin, who won over the other finalists in a UK Ireland competition the Propercorn ’s Institute of Flavour initiative, beating off 12,000 other entrants.
Baking enthusiast Ashling who has ‘always had a sweet tooth’ combined honey, Madagascan vanilla and sea salt to created this limited-edition recipe.
In relation to the new flavour, Cassandra Stavrou, co-founder of Propercorn commented: “We had an overwhelming number of delicious combinations submitted as part of our nationwide search but Ashling’s flavour stood out from the very beginning. The team has loved bringing her unique recipe to life in the Propercorn kitchen, experimenting with the floral sweetness of honey on popcorn for the first time. We’re so excited to have Twister Honeycomb as part of our range.”
Other flavours in the award-winning popcorn range include, Sour Cream & Black Pepper, Sweet Coconut & Vanilla, Smooth Peanut & Almond.
The Twister Honeycomb flavour is available from selected stores nationwide.
