Tipperary-based Ribworld is to create around 100 jobs as part of a €8 million investment programme, which will see the company look to increase its market share in European and international markets.
The firm, which produces barbecue ribs and other rib products will also seek to increase its operational capacity as part of the investment. Ribworld is part of the M&M Walshe food group.
Enterprise Minister Richard Bruton told The Irish Times that the announcement was a “great boost for Munster and a great example of what can be achieved by Irish food and manufacturing businesses across the country”.
Ribworld currently exports to markets as far afield as Finland and Thailand.
