SIAL Paris has announced the 2016 SIAL Innovation Awards winners. 2,188 products from 942 companies were entered into 15 categories. The 600 most innovative entries were selected as finalists and presented to the jury.
'Pur Just', a pure cold-pressed fruit juice, is the winner of the Non-Alcoholic Drinks category. Italian carrot liqueur 'Mama Carrot' won the Alcoholic Drinks category, and French 'Lait demi-écrémé UHT' was named best Dairy Product.
'Gelato Filled Fruit', an original frozen fruit to take out, was selected as winner in Frozen Foods for its innovative choice of fruits.
French company Sabarots 'Les moulins à champignons' obtained the top spot both in the Savoury Grocery and in the Distribution category. Another Sabarot product, 'Petit Polenta et Petit Quinoa à trancher', was declared winner of the Delicatessen category.
All winners and many other innovative products will be showcased in the SIAL Innovation Observatory space at SIAL Paris, the world's largest food innovation exhibition, taking place from the 16 to the 20 October 2016.
