Swizzels has launched its new Bon Bon range in time for Bastille Day, seeing the brands classic Drumsticks and Refreshers flavours turned into traditional French bonbons.
Bonbons, a name translating as ‘doubly good’, can be traced back to fifteenth century France, and have proved a hit with sweet fans ever since.
The original Drumstick Lollies and Refresher Bars were first introduce by Swizzels in 1957, and with their combination of sherbet and zingy fruit flavours, Refresher Bars are the company’s most popular product.
Simon Demery, general sales manager at Swizzels Ireland commented; “Our Drumstick and Refresher flavours are true classics and have developed a very loyal following amongst sweet lovers since their launch almost 60 years ago."
"Our team of Swizzels sweetologists are always looking at ways to enhance our classic flavours so that we keep tickling the taste buds of our fans. We're sure consumers will go ‘ohh-la-la’ for our Drumsticks and Refresher Bon Bons so all that’s left to say is ‘bon appétit’,” he concluded.
