An Taoiseach And A Host Of Irish Celebrities Support Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning

Leo Varadkar, Taoiseach, will come together with a host of Irish celebrities to support the Lucy Greene fundraiser and to launch Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Hospice Together with Bewley’s, on Thursday (20 September.)

Varadkar will be joined by some of Ireland’s most famous faces including Brendan Gleeson, Boyzone stars Keith Duffy and Ronan Keating, rugby legend Shane Byrne, comedian Mario Rosenstock, Westlife star Markus Feehily and Corona’s Frontman Danny O’Reilly.

The event, which will take place later this week will be in its 26th year and will aim to raise €2 million for local hospice and home-care services nationwide.

14 year old Lucy Greene has been fundraising for the Hospice since she was 9 years old and organising a coffee morning since she was just 10 years old.

“The money raised through Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Hospice Together with Bewley’s is crucial in ensuring that we continue to meet patients’ needs and support families,” said Pat Quinlan, Chair of the Voluntary Hospice Group.

“The success of the campaign over the last 26 years is thanks to the incredible supporters; our coffee morning hosts, guests, Ambassadors and our sponsor Bewley’s.”

At Bewley’s Grafton Street, the proceeds of every coffee sold between 7.30am-12pm will be donated to Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Hospice.

Those that can’t attend a coffee morning can simply text COFFEE to 50300 and donate €4 to support local hospice and home-care services and help to give patients the best quality of life during their illness.
