The Welsh Government and British Embassy in Ireland have announced that 20 Welsh food and drink companies will be in Dublin’s RDS from 29 February to 2 March, to showcase their products.
A special trade-only event will also take place on 1 March, the Welsh public holiday of St David’s Day. This will focus specifically on identifying new distributors and stockists for Welsh companies on the Irish market.
Some of Ireland’s most established food and drink buyers are expected to attend to personally meet the visiting suppliers and sample their products.
The visiting companies span a wide range of categories including bakery, sweet and savoury snacks, delicatessen lines and craft beer.
Each buyer will be allocated 15 minute sessions for each company, to allow them to meet as many of the Welsh producers as possible.
