Deirdre Lowry, brand manager, Yoplait, and Derval O’Rourke, champion athlete, were joined by ‘stealthy vegetables’ Charli Burke O’Toole (age three), Jamie Kennedy (age five) and Mia Wilde (age six) at the recent launch.
Aimed at three- to seven-year-olds, the new great-tasting drinking yoghurt contains fruits and vegetables (carrots and beetroot), in response to survey results that demonstrate that 62% of parents struggle to get their children to eat vegetables at mealtimes, Yoplait noted.
“Survey results tell us that many parents will go to great lengths to include vegetables in their children’s daily diet, with 60% admitting to ‘stealth health’ tactics, such as hiding vegetables in meals,” said Lowry.
“Our new Petits Filous Vitamin Rich C&D is great in this respect, as children actually like the taste. Furthermore, they keep for eight hours out of the fridge, making them the perfect at-school or on-the-go low-sugar, nutritious snack.”
Petits Filous Vitamin Rich C&D comes in two new flavours: Strawberry & Beetroot and Apricot, Peach & Carrot.
The drinkable vitamin-enriched yoghurt is available as a pack of four, at an RRP of €2.89.
Petits Filous Vitamin Rich C&D is available nationwide and currently offers a ‘Love Me or Your Money Back’ trial.
According to the brand, the new product will be supported by a 360-degree marketing campaign, including new TV ads, and a nationwide sampling campaign.
