Britvic saw revenues from its Irish business decline 2.8% in Q1 2013, according to an interim management statement issued this morning.
The beverage company said that the decline here was "due to the third party products that we distribute in our licensed wholesale business."
Its own brands, on the other hand, "outperformed a weak market, and we grew our own brand revenues with ARP up 7.6% against a volume decrease of 2.4%," the company added.
According to recent Nielsen figures, the take-home soft drinks market in Ireland declined by 7.6% in volume and 5.0% in value during the last quarter.
Overall, Group revenue for Britvic was up 4.8% to £303.2m, with its UK revenue rising 5.4%, driven by a 9.2% rise in carbonates in the British market.
