Swedish fruit cider älska has launched on the Irish off-trade and on-trade market, offering consumers the choice between Nordic Berries, Strawberry & Lime, and Lemon & Ginger flavour.
The cider, named after the Swedish word for ‘love’ is brought to Ireland by a partnership between The Swedish Cider Company and distributor G.H Lett & Co.
Managing director of G.H Lett & Co, Killian Lett explained that as customers become more adventurous, it’s essential to offer quality options, saying; “With new beverages appearing on the market daily, it’s important to find the right one. You need to be sure of the product and really believe in it - and we do with älska.”
David Hughes, sales & marketing director of The Swedish Cider Company, commented; “With our simple and minimal look, plus natural and fresh flavours, we’re excited to launch älska in Ireland."
“We have developed modern takes on the most popular flavours and made them drier than our competitors, to enable us to engage with a trendy, young and influential crowd. We hope that this spring they too, will fall in love with älska,” he added.
Already available in a further ten countries including the Sweden and the UK, älska is packaged in 500ml glass bottles and has an ABV of 4%.
