Heineken Ireland Appoint Mayo Native As Managing Director

Mayo native Maggie Timoney has been appointed as managing director of Heineken Ireland to replace David Forde. Timoney has fifteen years experience in the Heineken company, in the US, Netherlands and also as the general manager of Heineken Canada in 2006. In 2010 Timoney served as chief people officer at Heineken USA, during a period that saw significant turnaround in its business.

Timoney hails from Ballina and is a graduate of Iona College, New York. She is a former captain of the Irish Women's Basketball team and was inducted into the Naismith National Basketball Hall of Fame in March this year.
