Invivo X, Sarah Jessica Parker Wins Two Gold Medals At NY Wine Competition

Invivo X, Sarah Jessica Parker (SJP) has won two gold medals and a trophy at the 2021 New York International Wine Competition.

Out of 1,400 wines and 24 wine producing countries who entered, Invivo X, SJP picked up a gold for Invivo X, SJP Sauvignon Blanc and Invivo X, SJP Rose from the South of France.

The wine brand was also awarded a trophy for Europe’s Rosé of the Year, at the prestigious New York-based event.

SJP, cofounder of Invivo X, SJP, commented, “It’s such an honour to be awarded two gold medals and the Europe Rosé trophy from the 2021 New York International Wine Competition.

"Lots of love has gone into making our wines, from vineyard through to blending, and we are thrilled and honoured to be recognised," she added.

She shared the news with her 6.9 million Instagram followers over the weekend and the post had clocked up more than 400,000 likes worldwide already, which reportedly makes it one of the top wine posts on Instagram of 2021.

“And Just Like That...”

SJP, who is best known for her role as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City is currently filming the much-anticipated revival of the popular television series “And Just Like That...” in the streets of New York.

She launched the Invivo X, SJP wine brand back in 2019 with her New Zealand based business partners Tim Lightbourne and Rob Cameron after previously sampling some of Invivo’s wines during a holiday in Ireland, Invino & Co said.

According to the company, the New York based actress and designer has been involved in the complete winemaking process with her Invivo winery partners from blending to the design of the bottle and merchandising, and even serving on the board of Invivo & Co.

Tim Lightbourne, cofounder of Invivo & Co said,“We’ve been blown away by the award wins – it’s the first time we’ve won two golds and a trophy at the New York International wine comp, and the hype around the world has been phenomenal this weekend.

"The quality of the wines is testament to Rob and the rest of the winemaking team along with Sarah Jessica. We put a lot of care into every step of the process," he said.

Invivo was also awarded a gold and 'Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc' wine of the year awards for Graham Norton’s Own Sauvignon Blanc 2020, at the recent wine competition.

Invivo X, SJP is currently available in Carry Out Off licences, Next Door Off licence, Joyces Galway, Matson’s Off Licence, SuperValu.ie and WinesOfTheWorld.ie
