The National Final of Diageo Reserve’s World Class Bartender of the Year 2022 Ireland took place in Three Storey, Dublin where Mark Cooney from Limerick cocktail bar Sisters Social was crowned the winner.

The Precision & Pressure challenge was created by TV chef Mark Moriarty (RTE Beyond The Menu, Cook-In, and Off Duty Chef) and last year’s Ireland winner and Global Top Ten Challenger Cal Byrne from the Mercantile Group.

The challenge was designed to test their skills at pairing their creations against 4 unique dishes prepared by chef Mark.

Participants were challenged to create four drinks against the clock, pairing a Tanqueray No. Ten Aperitif with Mark’s Aperitif Canape of  Steak & Chips: a Crisp confit potato, dry aged beef tartare, horseradish.
