Oktoberfest 2014 is now well underway at George's Dock in Dublin's IFSC, the seventh year that the event has taken place.
Having served upwards of 160,000 visitors over the past number of years, and hundreds of thousands of litters of Beer, this year's event runs until 5th October, and judging by the crowds in attendance on the first weekend, it could be its most popular one yet.
The event was launched last Thursday by German Ambassador Matthias Hopfner, alongside the CEO of Erdinger, Werner Brombach and the CEO of go!events, Uwe Bergmann.
Erdinger is the official beer of the festival, while the media partner for the event is FM 104.
A week-long series of events will also include a special Industry Night on Mondays for hospitality professionals, LGBT Nights on Tuesdays, and 'Wacky Wednesdays', where attendees are encouraged to dress up and enjoy the fun.
Admission is free, however patrons are advised to get there early, particularly at weekends.
