Quintessential Brands To Invest €4 Million In Abbeyleix Facility

Leading private label drinks producer Quintessential Brands has announced a €4 million investment programme for its subsidiary company First Ireland Spirits’ facility in Abbeyleix, which will double output and create 20 jobs.

The investment is set to see growth in global volumes of O’Mara’s Irish Cream, the launch of luxury Feeney’s Irish Cream and the development of The Dubliner Whiskey, as well as the expansion into other Irish whiskey products.

Quintessential Brands’ Co-Founder and Director, Warren Scott commented, “This investment is part of our ongoing strategy to develop Abbeyleix as the home of Irish Cream, boost our production capabilities, build a premium Irish brand portfolio and expand our contract manufacturing business in Ireland.”

Scott went on to thank Enterprise Ireland for its work with the company, and AIB for its support. He also thanked Laois County Council for working “closely with us to facilitate our ambitious production expansion plans”.

Anna-Marie Delaney, Director of Services at Laois County Council added, “We are delighted to support Quintessential Brands’ investment in Abbeyleix and welcome their ambitions for the business and for the town with the creation of new jobs and opportunities for County Laois.”
