Seafood development agency Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM) has announced details about its forthcoming Seafood Leadership event on 13 May in Killashee House, Kildare.
The half day event, scheduled from 8am to 1pm, is aimed at Irish seafood companies seeking to build sufficient scale and drive growth, as outlined in BIM’s corporate strategy, ‘Capturing Ireland’s Share of the Global Seafood Opportunity 2013-2017’.
The day will start with a motivational breakfast briefing with Kilkenny hurling manager Brian Cody, followed by a series of discussions and talks chaired by economist David McWilliams on how the seafood industry can grow.
Also among those scheduled to present at the event are Vincent Carton, managing director of Manor Farm, Joe Gill of Goodbody Stockbrokers, Stephen Cameron, CEO of the Scottish Shellfish Marketing Group and Eddie Power, CEO of Green Isle Foods.
