Conference To Uncover Future Competitiveness Of Irish Agri-Food System

A conference organised by UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science will seek to determine the role of innovation in the future development of the Irish agri-food industry.

The “Driving Innovation in the Irish Agri-food System” conference takes place on 11th June at the UCD Clinton Auditorium, sponsored by the Irish Farmers Journal, Bank of Ireland, Grant Thornton and Enterprise Ireland.

According to the organisers, the conference will provide a "Global, European and Irish perspective on innovation and what is needed to ensure future success for the Irish agri-food sector."

Speakers include Minister of Agriculture, Food and Marine, Simon Coveney TD, Dr Edmond Harty, CEO Dairymaster, Professor Marcos Fava Neves, Professor of Planning and Strategy, University of Säo Paulo, Professor Alan Renwick, UCD Professor of Agriculture and Food Economics and Samuel Shine, Managing Director Samco.
