Did you know ...? Data from Deliveroo HQ has revealed that Ireland’s passion for avocados is growing stronger. It witnessed a 62% increase in orders containing avocado from 2020 to 2021. According to the online delivery platform, Irish customers simply can’t get enough guacamole, avocado on toast, avocado salads, or even avocado in smoothies. ‘Avocaddicts’ aren’t just fuelling their habit by ordering from restaurants on Deliveroo, they’re also purchasing avocados when ordering their groceries directly from it, through grocery partners such as Mace and Spar, the company noted.

Did you know ...? Sardinian-based Gruppo Abbi – a partner of Gruppo Crai – has rolled out a new store format in Cagliari, combining the digital and physical channels, reports ESMMagazine.com. The Tuttigiorni store combines e-commerce with a new approach to grocery shopping, the retailer noted. Shoppers can also take advantage of home delivery services and accumulate points with the Tuttigiorni loyalty card.

Did you know ...? British convenience retailer Co-op has relaunched its food-to-go range for summer, introducing new products and reducing packaging, reports ESMMagazine.com. Products to be added include a Thai bang bang noodle salad, a chicken katsu bento box, halloumi flatbread, a spinach and pine nut falafel wrap, a coronation chicken sub roll, and a wide range of new sandwiches, wraps, salads and sushi.
